Tomorrow may be hell, but today was a good writing day, and on the good writing days nothing else matters. —Neil Gaiman
There are plenty of things that Neil Gaiman has written that I wish I could sign my name to. This is one of them. But I know what he’s talking about. Sort of. I think.
What is a good writing day for me? Twelve hundred plus words that make the story move forward, with periodic paragraphs that feel like forward is not a total waste of digital space. What’s a REALLY good day? A chapter I have to read aloud to my sons. If they laugh I do the safety dance.
Yesterday was, dare I say it out loud? Yep. It was fun.
If you’re writing. Stay with it. If you have a manure pile the pony can’t be far away.
